What exactly is a life purpose 🔥🔥🔥

What exactly is a life purpose?

So many times we use this term, we speak of finding it but, are we clear of what it would feel like and be like when we do?

There is a Harvard study published in May 2020 that says that we NEED a higher purpose in life to feel our lives have meaning AND that if you believe your life has meaning, it could potentially be longer.

There are actually countless clinical studies that show that having a “greater purpose” dramatically increases the length and quality of your life. Yet, it is alarming how many people at this time report that they don’t know what theirs is.

It does not matter how smart, conscious, creative, talented, and tuned in you are, if you are not clear about what you are meant to be doing now and why you are here on this planet at this time, you will be feeling off-kilter and you will go about life feeling like something is missing.

Life purpose is defined differently by different people, however, as a spiritual teacher, coach, and healer, I have learned that knowing your life purpose means you have aligned your passion with your dreams and your goals.

When your passion is in line with your dreams and goals then your behaviors and your actions will naturally be aligned with your values. As a result, you will feel on-purpose AND you will feel fulfilled with an inner knowing that what you do matters… that YOU matter.

I believe that living our purpose is ultimately connecting with our higher self or inner divinity and listening to its guidance you will gain clarity on all of the above.

What I find in my work is that many people are struggling to go inside, to honor time to connect with the whispers of the divine within, and thus can’t receive the golden messages for themselves. Your inner knowing speaks in a really soft voice, therefore, we must be able to quiet our minds to listen accurately.

Not knowing what your purpose is will have you going about life sabotaging your ability to unlock your full potential and manifest what you most desire in life!

So why is it so difficult to gain clarity on OUR OWN purpose? It’s ours so we should know right? Wrong… the problem is that through our childhood experiences and trauma we’ve detached from pieces of our soul and we’ve disowned parts of ourselves. All of these aspects of our being lay in the shadow, they are our blind spots, and they hold precious information that we can’t see on our own because… they are our blind spots. By definition, we need someone else to mirror those to us.

What I know is that you are needed. I know that you are meant to be living a fulfilling joyful abundant life.  I know that if you aren’t living a life of joy and purpose and you feel stuck or simply blah, then now is the time for you to rise up and figure this out!

🔥 What is holding you back?
🔥 Why can’t you take action even though you are clear about what you want to do?
🔥 Why are you lacking motivation?
🔥 Why are you confused?
🔥 Why do you feel pulled in a million directions?

Let’s find clarity, shall we?

What is going on for you?

Are you feeling it too, major transformation forces at work for all of us?

For certain I am personally in the midst of a whirlwind of energies having traveled back to Tuscany arriving at a house where I hadn’t been before.

With my delayed return due to COVID, my husband and younger son ended up having to move from our old house into this new house and settling in on their own. As I landed after two days of traveling and connecting flights I felt a “uni-focused” vision that led me to finish moving in. It took four days of 9 physical working hours to settle in: hanging paintings, hanging shelves, cleaning closets, unpacking boxes, finding the right place for every single thing, cleaning, purging, and more. Pfewww!! And now after barely one week back I finally feel I am fullly landing in body, heart, mind, and soul.

I know that the powerful transformational energies at work for all of us are showing up in a big way in my life and I also know that many of you are feeling the same way.

What is going for you?
What is changing for you?
Have you had to surrender?
Have you had to change, adapt?
Have you had to let go?
Have you had to release anger?

These times have been showing us the truth of how life really is. In the past, we may have had the “illusion” that we were in control and all illusions have been shattered. We’ve had to release expectations about our plans, and most likely whatever you thought was going to happen for you has now been turned completely upside down.

This journey has been and continues to be a wake-up call for the entire conscious community and for those of us who choose to be aware that we are being called to rise up and bring love and light to Earth.

I have learned a few lessons throughout this fast-changing reality that I want to share with you today with the hope that you may benefit from my experience.

Being here in Tuscany I am being called to have patience, be compassionate, and pay attention to what is instead of pushing for what I had thought this time should be like. When I think about it, the truth is that it has been this way for at least the past 5 months since I was forced to stay in the USA during lock-down instead of being in Italy with my loved ones.

Yesterday, as I finally landed fully and felt grounded in our new place I felt the energy within myself calm and change from whirlwind inspired action to stand still. I joyfully stopped and took time to go inside, to feel, and to take stock and get current with how I am feeling and asking “what’s next”, “what now”?

In front of me, there is a whole lot of unknown, piles of uncertainty, and loads of blank space on my slate. 🙂

Clearly the universe is asking something new of us that is not what I was thinking, nor what you were asking before as well.

Are you in touch with it?
If you are not, trust me, I get it! And not to worry, you’ve got this! Get curious and go inside for answers!

I’ve had to take some time to look into the unknown prior to traveling and now once again with new eyes and a different energy. So here is what I’ve learned.

Step 1: Learn to let go of what was. You’ve got to let go to grow! Take time to feel and allow the emotions to show themselves fully and pass through your system. Allow the energy to be in motion as the word itself tells us to do: e-motion. You have to feel whatever it is you are carrying inside to heal it, there is no way around it but only THROUGH it.

Step 2: Honor your needs. Become masterful at it! The emotions showed you where you need love, appreciation, understanding, nurturing, compassion, and more. Therefore, it is up to you to be good at getting your needs met. What do you need to do in order to do so? Who can help you? Where and how can you fulfill your needs given today’s reality?

Step 3: Find your truth. Drop the musts and shoulds. Remember we are lucky because we can choose to actually live in a dogma-free time. You are not here to repeat by rote, you can find what is meaningful for you and seek to have the revelations for yourself.

Step 4: Understand that you won’t get far with pushing and pulling however I guarantee that you will get exhausted and frustrated. Understand that pushing where it’s not working won’t take you anywhere. Trying to get your way at all costs is not possible, now more than ever. Figure this out: what do you need so that you can be in alignment, centered, in the flow, and not in push-pull? What needs to happen for you to change your behavior? Realize that you can choose to do something different and you WILL get different results.

You get to take care of the precious body temple that is the home for your soul. And remember to be patient. I must remember this BIG time! We cannot change the world in a flash, but the more we take responsibility and do our part in living our truth, we are paving the way for a new world and for all generations to come.

What’s your story? What’s happening in your life now? I am here to help if you need me, I am only a reply away.

Love and light!

It’s not too late!

The New Year is here, heck, the New Decade is here, however, you are still on time to set high intentions for the new journey!

There are 3 practices I use and coach with to help prepare yourself for a powerful time.
I recommend you do all of these, as described below, in one sitting. Take at least 1 hour of time, create a sacred place where you sit down with your journal and connect within with the following guidance.

1. Release The Old. If you haven’t done it yet. The idea is to re-visit with your thoughts the decade we have just left behind, and in more detail the year 2019. Think of what topics, things, areas and people, are stopping you from living the best version of yourself. With intention release them, bless them, and send them in to the light knowingly choosing to leave them in the past.

2. Honor What You Did. Now make a list of 50 things you accomplished during the past year. YES FIFTY!!! Believe me, you have. They can be small or big, but they must be at least fifty. This exercise will leave you with a sense of accomplishment. We tend to forget how much we have done.

3. Set High Intentions. Finally, think about those things you want to create, those people you want to connect, reconnect, guide and be guided by and with, those events you want to live, and those things you want to transform. Honor what you have already done, those relationships you want to enrich, and visualize, think, feel and write it all down!

These 3 steps will make you enter this new decade with a feeling of possibility, joy and empowerment. It will connect you with YOUR unique vision and gifts helping you bring forth the maximum from yourself and into the world.

Begin today creating a big wonderful container to live your best ever decade of your life!

Love is the Answer

The Answer is Love!

Remember when John Lennon used to sing “love is the answer”?

I know, it is trite, and overused, BUT…. LOVE IS THE ANSWER TO ALL.

Think of this for a moment.

Whenever you feel down because somebody has hurt you, the way out is to give love back.

If you received envy and aggression, yup, you’ve got it, the way to heal YOUR wound is by sending love back.

When your heart has been broken, the way to mend your heart is loving the one who hurt you…

When someone, anyone, has done something that has left you feeling down and broken, the answer is…. Love. You’ve got this.

There is a caveat however and I am going to share this key aspect with you.

I learned from Boddhisatva Fukyo who lived more than 800 years ago a fundamental aspect of answering with love. Around the 1200ths when Buddhism was in a downfall period, people would be aggressive towards those following the Buddhist path to enlightenment. Whenever someone would speak ill of Fukyo, curse him or throw stones at him, he would move to the side to avoid the stones while leaning towards the aggressor, and hands in prayer he would say “I have profound reverence for you, I would never dare treat you with disparagement or arrogance, because I can see the Buddha within you.”

Isn’t this a beautiful anecdote? This story tugs at my heart because it explains very clearly that learning that love is the answer doesn’t mean to “turn the other cheek”. This is not about submission or loving when what you desire is to respond back with similar energies such as hate, revenge, spite or other responses.

Responding with love means protecting oneself from the aggression and the aggressor (as in moving to the side to avoid the stones) BUT understanding that we are all ONE, that we are all a vessel of Source energy. It is about healing ourselves and learning that loving back is the only way to freedom.

I love a good conversation and this subject might create strong opinions in you which I’d love to hear about. Please write to me any time. CLICK HERE to write to me!

“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.” [Robert Fulghum]

It is their fault!

Do you find yourself examining different aspects of your relationships and often thinking it is “their fault” or “they are in this way”?

When you think in this way you are projecting and when you are projecting you disown what you don’t believe is yours. You are putting outside of yourself a part of you that you are not ready to admit to or that you cannot see. We call this part of ourselves our shadow.

Embracing our shadow side allows us to also embrace the gift that comes from the part of the shadow that is lit. Isn’t that interesting?

We cannot see in others what we don’t already have inside. When we point our finger at someone else in a derogatory way or in praise, it is because we have that same thing within us. It may be in our shadow on in our light, but you can rest assured it is within us.

When you come to understand you contain everything you see in others your entire world will alter.

Since the Universe always works with us and for us, if there is an aspect of ourselves we don’t accept we will continuously attract people in our lives who act out that aspect. “Ain’t that nice”!

The gift in this stems from the fact that with some aspects of ourselves, unless we don’t accept the shadow part, we cannot rejoice from acknowledging the gift within it. So imagine, for example, the power from accepting that “yes, I am a geek, because you know what, I am also super intelligent” (assuming that being a geek is an aspect you disown).

Shadow work is a big part of the healing process when you are moving from emotional pain into joy and opening up to love. I work with my clients to help them recognize their shadow AND welcome it together with its gift.

Here is a simple exercise you can do to get a better gist on this. Imagine there was an article written about you in a local newspaper. What are 5 things you would not want to be said about you? And what would be 5 things they could say about you that wouldn’t matter to you? The litmus test is to realize that all these words reflect aspects of you. The trick is that you were taught at an early age by family and friends that the first 5 words are the wrong things to be. Taking back these aspects of ourselves we have disowned is a crucial part our the journey to love.  This is a road that leads to our inner freedom.

Feel free to contact me to learn more about the way I work with my clients and shadow work. I will put a button below so you can contact me.
