Are you playing mind games?

Boy oh boy, I am hearing from so many of you. Some are anxious about what will be after “we go back” to normal. Others are confused about all the contrasting information that abounds in social media, the news, and what people are saying. Many are wondering about their own financial future, job, love, travel life…. You name it. Which is your mind game at this time? Are you aware of an inner dialogue that is making you unsettled in any way?

Check-in with yourself and your inner compass. Never mind what is everyone telling you, TV, friends, Facebook… This is a time where we are being called to awaken to what is real. In Sanskrit, the word Maya means “magic” or “illusion”. In Buddhism, the concept of Maya brings the awareness of that which exists but is constantly changing and thus is spiritually unreal and thus conceals the true character of spiritual reality. What we believe to be our real world is, in reality, our dream, and when we awaken to our dream state we realize that where we go in our dreams is more real than what we thought to be real.

I know, it’s our conundrum and also our opportunity during this time to awaken to what shamans called the dream state. Are you living in Maya? Is this time testing you? Stretching you? Are you reconsidering your beliefs and verifying them with your intuition?

What a gift this time is for us to awaken, to delve deep, to expand our intuition and trust more than ever what it is telling us! Use your gut, check-in with yourself to discern from all the information coming your way, which one is true for you and discard what doesn’t uplift you.

As you expand your intuitive gifts remember the Earth and thus our minds are in duality. Whenever you find yourself going back and forth between two thoughts: is it real or is it not? it is this way but maybe it’s that way? … understand that you are being governed by your “mind” instead of your heart where duality cannot live. When this happens take a deep breath and go into your heart where you will find the answer.

Ask yourself “what do I want to contribute to the new world that is emerging”? And know all is well.

Is love or fear guiding your decisions?

Love and fear cannot co-exist in the same space. Hope and fear cannot be in our hearts at the same time.

These are times of great turmoil where all our “perceived “ control of our lives has been radically taken away. These tumultuous moments of uncertainty my become our worse demise or our greatest gift: we’ve got a choice to make.

Day after day I am being called to be fully in the present moment. As you know, I am a channel for the Divine and use my gift in my work as a life coach and healer and also for my own becoming. Since the lockdown has started I am being shown only the immediate future and I am being called to stay in the NOW moment.

Choosing to be in the now fully present in this inner journey will bring us the biggest gift; and upon doing so the choice of moving beyond fear and connecting with love, hope and possibility is the most wonderful gift we can give ourselves.

I can almost hear your inner dialogue as you read these lines: “Yes Valerie, very nice words but HOW do I do this when fear takes a grip in my heart and when anxiety chokes my throat or constricts my solar plexus?

I hear you, trust me. I too feel the frequency of the collective unconscious pulling me into fear, anxiety, and more. The answer to this question has several components:

1) Take a stance, choose love, hope, and possibility. State it out loud.

2) Take inspired action to raise your frequency. How does this look? It may be that you stay away of the news other than a few minutes once a day to check where we stand, and that’s it. It may mean that you take more time than ever before to do activities that allow you to listen to your inner divine expression (meditation, journaling, walking in nature, or any other way that works for you!).

3) Be mindful of what you eat. Food is energy and fuels your body. Processed food and carbohydrates, sweets, and sugar will fog your mind and impact your energy and energy bodies as much as your physical resilience to the virus.

4) Use grounding and shielding energy techniques to keep your subtle bodies healthy

5) Keep a schedule. Go to bed and get up at approximately the same time

6) Move your body, dance, walk, practice yoga, or what works for you. Moving your body allows energy to circulate

7) Take time to “slow down and smell the roses” in a way that is an amped version of whatever you may have done until now

I want to hear from you. What is your experience being like? Are you keeping a schedule? Is it easy for you to eat healthily or are you eating more than usual? Let’s stay in touch.

Love and light!

“I don’t always make the best choices, but today I choose compassion over intolerance, sympathy over hatred and love over fear.”

It’s not too late!

The New Year is here, heck, the New Decade is here, however, you are still on time to set high intentions for the new journey!

There are 3 practices I use and coach with to help prepare yourself for a powerful time.
I recommend you do all of these, as described below, in one sitting. Take at least 1 hour of time, create a sacred place where you sit down with your journal and connect within with the following guidance.

1. Release The Old. If you haven’t done it yet. The idea is to re-visit with your thoughts the decade we have just left behind, and in more detail the year 2019. Think of what topics, things, areas and people, are stopping you from living the best version of yourself. With intention release them, bless them, and send them in to the light knowingly choosing to leave them in the past.

2. Honor What You Did. Now make a list of 50 things you accomplished during the past year. YES FIFTY!!! Believe me, you have. They can be small or big, but they must be at least fifty. This exercise will leave you with a sense of accomplishment. We tend to forget how much we have done.

3. Set High Intentions. Finally, think about those things you want to create, those people you want to connect, reconnect, guide and be guided by and with, those events you want to live, and those things you want to transform. Honor what you have already done, those relationships you want to enrich, and visualize, think, feel and write it all down!

These 3 steps will make you enter this new decade with a feeling of possibility, joy and empowerment. It will connect you with YOUR unique vision and gifts helping you bring forth the maximum from yourself and into the world.

Begin today creating a big wonderful container to live your best ever decade of your life!

Affirmations to start your day

Today I share a tool to support you as you harness the potential available to you as you walk your soulful path.

Anything we think, say or do will effect your life, therefore, it is important to nip the negative inner dialogue in the bud.

When you are going along the day or facing a challenge, what does your inner voice say? Does it encourage you with a “Heck yay, you can do it!” or does your internal critic kick in?

Whenever you find yourself within a negative loop of self-talk, the antidote is to interrupt the pattern and replace it with positive affirmations. Therefore, I want to give you a tool that you can practice every day so you can be ready to transform your inner dialogue to go from defeatist to constructive.

Know that YOU CAN control your thoughts, and that to break the habit of negative thinking you need to switch the channel in your brain to banish the negativity, and replace those thoughts with positive, valid words of wisdom.

Affirmations are positive statements that describe a desired situation or goal in the present tense as if the situation has already happened.

The way to use affirmations is to repeat them often as a way to reprogram your brain and motivate your mind to act according to the repeated words. This repetition tricks your subconscious mind to believe these statements and accept them as true, raising  your vibration and creating a positive field to attract congruent events and situations into your life.

I am sharing with you a shortlist of positive thoughts to get you started so that you can then add your own:

* I am a master at what I do
* I genuinely believe in myself
* I love and accept myself just the way I am
* I am grateful for ….. (this goes a long way, create as many as you wish!)
* I have peace and harmony in my life
* I am masterful at accomplishing whatever I set your mind to.

“I am” statements are super powerful. Create as many “I am …” with a positive adjective following the dots, as you can muster. Most of all HAVE FUN and enjoy loving yourself through positive statement affirmations.

Lots of love,
Shine bright!

Why gratitude?

Why is everyone so gung-ho about gratitude? Why is it so difficult to connect with the emotions of gratitude some times?

A few years back I went through a phase where I was waking up with anxiety attacks daily. I was very good at using meditation and energy healing techniques to do what is known as a “spiritual bypass” and overcome this state.

The problem with utilizing techniques to overcome the anxiety attack is that I was leaving the core issue unattended. The underlying trauma that was getting me a panic attack was kept alive and kicking, so every day I had to overcome the same anxiety building up during the night.

At that time a friend of mine was giving me the advice to use gratitude as a door to open up to love and get over the morning anxiety. When she was talking to me about gratitude I could not relate to what she was saying. Intellectually I understood her words but I couldn’t connect emotionally with what she was saying. This inability to relate at an emotional level to gratitude sent me further into a downward spiral of anxiety and fear.

As I deepened my studies working with energy I learned that you cannot leap from the lowest vibration of fear and anxiety straight into gratitude and appreciation which are opposite ends of the emotional vibrational scale. I learned that I had to work my way out from fear and anxiety in incremental steps.

From where I stood emotionally I could connect and envision myself feeling better, more at peace and evenly keeled emotionally in my daily life. It was a matter of doing it in baby steps.

There is something known as the scale of emotional frequency (Ref. David R. Hawkins in his “The Map of Consciousness Explained – see image) that shows the lower vibration emotions being shame and guilt, and as you move upwards you find grief, fear and anger. The pivotal point on the scale is with the emotion of courage.

From the moment you feel courageous your vibration rises as you lean into fear and start believing there is hope for you.

The highest vibration emotions on the scale rise as we shift from courage to love, to gratitude all the way to God Consciousness.

I did my healing moving up on the scale one step at a time. I worked my way from panic attacks daily to anxiety feelings sparingly to feeling good and at ease. When I leveled up I started waking up in the mornings feeling good and clear headed. Only then I was able to lean into fear tapping into my courage, creating a new vision of what was possible for me, believing in it, and YES, I was then able to connect emotionally with love and gratitude.

We have been given the ability to create our world in harmony with the Divine. I urge you to use your God-given gift… and, of course, feel gratitude for it. That is why I work with men and women so they can say YES to their spiritual gifts. I want YOU to prosper and live your own version of a magical and meaningful life.

Let’s shine bright together!

Love and light,
