Are you playing mind games?

Boy oh boy, I am hearing from so many of you. Some are anxious about what will be after “we go back” to normal. Others are confused about all the contrasting information that abounds in social media, the news, and what people are saying. Many are wondering about their own financial future, job, love, travel life…. You name it. Which is your mind game at this time? Are you aware of an inner dialogue that is making you unsettled in any way?

Check-in with yourself and your inner compass. Never mind what is everyone telling you, TV, friends, Facebook… This is a time where we are being called to awaken to what is real. In Sanskrit, the word Maya means “magic” or “illusion”. In Buddhism, the concept of Maya brings the awareness of that which exists but is constantly changing and thus is spiritually unreal and thus conceals the true character of spiritual reality. What we believe to be our real world is, in reality, our dream, and when we awaken to our dream state we realize that where we go in our dreams is more real than what we thought to be real.

I know, it’s our conundrum and also our opportunity during this time to awaken to what shamans called the dream state. Are you living in Maya? Is this time testing you? Stretching you? Are you reconsidering your beliefs and verifying them with your intuition?

What a gift this time is for us to awaken, to delve deep, to expand our intuition and trust more than ever what it is telling us! Use your gut, check-in with yourself to discern from all the information coming your way, which one is true for you and discard what doesn’t uplift you.

As you expand your intuitive gifts remember the Earth and thus our minds are in duality. Whenever you find yourself going back and forth between two thoughts: is it real or is it not? it is this way but maybe it’s that way? … understand that you are being governed by your “mind” instead of your heart where duality cannot live. When this happens take a deep breath and go into your heart where you will find the answer.

Ask yourself “what do I want to contribute to the new world that is emerging”? And know all is well.

Is love or fear guiding your decisions?

Love and fear cannot co-exist in the same space. Hope and fear cannot be in our hearts at the same time.

These are times of great turmoil where all our “perceived “ control of our lives has been radically taken away. These tumultuous moments of uncertainty my become our worse demise or our greatest gift: we’ve got a choice to make.

Day after day I am being called to be fully in the present moment. As you know, I am a channel for the Divine and use my gift in my work as a life coach and healer and also for my own becoming. Since the lockdown has started I am being shown only the immediate future and I am being called to stay in the NOW moment.

Choosing to be in the now fully present in this inner journey will bring us the biggest gift; and upon doing so the choice of moving beyond fear and connecting with love, hope and possibility is the most wonderful gift we can give ourselves.

I can almost hear your inner dialogue as you read these lines: “Yes Valerie, very nice words but HOW do I do this when fear takes a grip in my heart and when anxiety chokes my throat or constricts my solar plexus?

I hear you, trust me. I too feel the frequency of the collective unconscious pulling me into fear, anxiety, and more. The answer to this question has several components:

1) Take a stance, choose love, hope, and possibility. State it out loud.

2) Take inspired action to raise your frequency. How does this look? It may be that you stay away of the news other than a few minutes once a day to check where we stand, and that’s it. It may mean that you take more time than ever before to do activities that allow you to listen to your inner divine expression (meditation, journaling, walking in nature, or any other way that works for you!).

3) Be mindful of what you eat. Food is energy and fuels your body. Processed food and carbohydrates, sweets, and sugar will fog your mind and impact your energy and energy bodies as much as your physical resilience to the virus.

4) Use grounding and shielding energy techniques to keep your subtle bodies healthy

5) Keep a schedule. Go to bed and get up at approximately the same time

6) Move your body, dance, walk, practice yoga, or what works for you. Moving your body allows energy to circulate

7) Take time to “slow down and smell the roses” in a way that is an amped version of whatever you may have done until now

I want to hear from you. What is your experience being like? Are you keeping a schedule? Is it easy for you to eat healthily or are you eating more than usual? Let’s stay in touch.

Love and light!

“I don’t always make the best choices, but today I choose compassion over intolerance, sympathy over hatred and love over fear.”

Testimonial by Kate Drucker

Working with Valerie was one of the best investments I made to up-level my life.

Prior to working with her, I was stuck in a pattern of analysis paralysis and self-doubt.

With Valerie’s support, I was able to transform inner nudges into inspired action.  Because of our work, I feel so much more empowered to express my gifts. Valerie’s very presence and belief in me gave me permission to live in alignment with my purpose.

She helped me shift out of self-imposed limitations to a life of possibilities.

I found her way of blending practical tools and spiritual downloads to be most useful in our sessions.  I’m so grateful that I took the leap, said ‘yes’ and allowed Valerie to be my ally.

What’s YOUR “Special Sauce”?

Lately in all the circles and communities I move and connect I hear people saying that the past two months have been “hard” from an emotional standpoint. What made me ponder about this is that I kept hearing comments such as barely coping, mourning, in grief, longing for something, confused and taking a stand (just to name a few) from a wide spectrum of people across industries and continents!

I too have felt stretched waaaayyy beyond my already stretched un-“comfortable” zone and I have been challenged to show up at a higher level of service, clarity and performance. My way of handling this was to multiply my self-exploration time, getting more training, and surrendering to Divine guidance while wavering in between trust and fear.

One of the many gems that showed up for me, as a result, is the absolute certainty that the moments when I struggle the most are the ones when I forget to trust the Universe/Source/God/Creator, and when I disconnect from the knowledge that we are all One.  One more concept was underlined and highlighted in bold letters in my mind, and that is that we are all here for A PURPOSE! And if we don’t give room for this purpose to show up, if we don’t gain clarity on what it is and what is your unique “special sauce” it will exhaust you, make you sick, even kill you! I am “deadly” serious.

This is an invitation for you to dive deep and to ask yourself questions such as:

·      Am I clear on what is it that gives meaning to my life, here, now?
·      Do I know what is my sacred purpose?
·      I am in touch with the fire within that will propel me forward no matter what?
·      Am I showing up at my highest level of performance for myself and my loved ones and my mission?

For you, who already know what your “secret sauce” is, then this is an invitation to keep delving deeper, and by all means, would you tell me what your secret sauce is?

For all of us, the key question is “in what way can I be MORE EXTRA-ordinary than ever before”. Now, more than ever, our loved ones and humanity as a whole needs us to be the better version of ourselves that we can be!

Namasté my friend!

7 “Anxiety Killer” Steps

Last week I had a difficult week in a way I hadn’t experienced before.
I was having a combination of physical exhaustion and difficulty to stay present in my life and my body. This created a series of events that I judged as negative and that created “a bit” of a downward spiral.

You know how big I am about co-creation, positive thinking and feeling, and how I strive to be in integrity by walking my own talk. As I realized I was “freaking out” was going into negative thinking I said to myself “enough, I know what to do about this”.

The process I went through has 7 basic steps that I am sharing with you so you can use them when you may need them. We are all human and we all may have moments when things seem less than rosy, don’t we?

Step #1 is to NOTICE what is going on.
You DO know when you are heading into negativity, you may feel some anxiety, and your thoughts take you down into more of the same.  The simple act of “noticing” the thought shifts you immediately from “being in the situation” to “observing the situation” which leads to the next step.  And, guess what? You may journal about what comes up for you to gain further clarity.

Step #2 is to RECOGNIZE the FEELINGS
Now that you are aware of what is going on ask yourself “how am I feeling”? The answer is crucial for you because you will become VERY aware that you are not feeling particularly good. For me, the thoughts were of this type “I am anxious because I SHOULD be doing xyz and I am physically tired and can’t allow myself to rest” (have you ever felt this way! LOL).

Step #3: FORGIVE yourself for having these thoughts
Forgive yourself for not being “perfect”, for being human, for being out of alignment. It happens to the best of us! Ask yourself “what is positive about this situation?”, “what can I learn from what has just happened or is happening”?

Step #5 CLEAR YOURSELF and CLEAR your SPACE
Use any techniques you know to clear your subtle bodies and help yourself by also clearing the space where you live. Do some smudging, light some incense and candles, or do it your own way. This will support your ability to pivot and take the following steps.

Step #5: OPPORTUNITY
What you did in the prior steps was to “press the PAUSE button” and by doing so you created space to CHOOSE what you want to create. Now you can ask yourself “how can I do this differently”, “Is my thought real?”, “is this true”?  You will realize for sure how there is a better course of action and how your “internal dialogue” was not necessarily true or that you could adjust it and choose differently.

Step #6 CLEAR YOURSELF and CLEAR your SPACE
Use any techniques you know to clear your subtle bodies and help yourself by also clearing the space where you live. Do some smudging, light some incense and candles, or do it your own way. This will support your ability to pivot and take the following steps.

Step #7 DIVINE GUIDANCE
Always tap into your higher self or Divine Guidance. Ask to be supported and shown what is best for you and to fully integrate the learning. Meditate and/or journal about this too.

Step #6 GRATITUDE
Always, always, always, remember to be grateful for every opportunity we have to grow, learn, expand and live a better happier more fulfilled life.

With love AND GRATITUDE,
